I found this film very disappointing. I am a big fan of Jason Bateman and Mila Kunis, I love both of their work on television. Bateman is perfect as Michael Bluth on the brilliant show Arrested Development, and Mila Kunis has been shown to have great comedic timing in her sitcom That 70s Show, and films like Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The Expendables is fully loaded with an awesome punch of nostalgia. It brings back so many memories of the classic action films of the 80s, it is a nice throwback to that era. Loud action films have become somewhat extinct in the past few years. Movies like The Bourne Identity changed the way that action films were made, they had to be smarter and the hero not as butch. I didn’t have very high hopes for this film. I’ve never been a huge fan of Stallone, and Arnie hasn’t made a decent flick in over a decade, but I enjoyed The Escape Plan. Enchanted is a nice spin on the generic princess fairy tale story. This damsel, Giselle (Amy Adams), almost seems like a spoof of all the princesses that have come before her. The whole movie seems to be poking fun at Disney princesses, which is funny because Enchanted was made by Disney. Continue reading
