I don’t even know how to start writing this review. Star Wars is my favourite series of films ever made– yes even including these prequels– so I’m quite concerned I won’t be able to do them justice. But I’ll try, so here goes. Continue reading
Thor (2011)
Sally
Could it really be only six years since the Thor arm of the Marvel Cinematic Universe began? Because we just re-watched this in preparation for the third installment, and man, does this movie feel a lot older. Continue reading
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015)
Sally
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. didn’t catch on with the public as strongly as I had hoped. I absolutely love this movie, with my interest instantly sparked by its stylish AF trailers. Continue reading
National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007)
Sally
After repeated viewings of National Treasure, I was willing to bite by the time this sequel was released. If I remember correctly, I even saw Book of Secrets in the theater. And this was back when I maybe went to the movies five or six times a year, so that’s really saying something. Continue reading
50 Shades of Grey (2015)
Sally
All the hate this series gets? It’s totally justified. The only saving grace about this movie is that it is hilarious, though unintentionally so. There have been plenty of articles written about the problems with the 50 Shades story, so I won’t go into them here. Especially since the movie provides so much fodder on its own. Continue reading

National Treasure (2004)
Sally
National Treasure is a movie I spent a lot of time trying to hate. I didn’t like Nicholas Cage. I didn’t like its fictionalized take on American history. I didn’t like how Indiana Jones-ish it was trying to be. Continue reading
National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983)
Sally
National Lampoon’s Vacation is a comedy classic. I always remembered it being great, but it wasn’t until re-watching it this year that I really started to appreciate it. Continue reading
Napoleon Dynamite (2004)
Sally
It’s been 12 years since the release of Napoleon Dynamite, and I have to say, it’s still one of the most awkward movies I’ve ever watched. Continue reading
Deadpool (2016)
Sally
Deadpool is the franchise starter Ryan Reynolds deserves. After making rom-coms, mediocre comedies, and one truly terrible superhero movie, Reynolds has finally landed the role he was born to play. Even better, the movie studio gods see fit to make this an R-rated romp. Continue reading
