Jurassic Park is one of my favourite films of all time. Given the impact that Steven Spielberg has had on the world of movies, it is no small feat that this film ranks near the top of his resume. Continue reading
Rated C
Beginners (2010)
Ben
The real problem with this film is that it is instantly forgettable. There are great actors involved in Beginners, but even they couldn’t save me from feeling very let down after watching this. Continue reading
My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006)
Ben
I am about to write my review for Mystery Men, and I have a feeling it will be something similar to this review. My Super Ex-Girlfriend has everything going for it. A cool cast, one of the best comedy directors going and an original story. Continue reading
Mystery Men (1999)
Ben
I do enjoy this film, but there is definitely a feeling of what might have been. I love this concept so much, and to just get a good, and not great, movie out of it does seem like a wasted opportunity. Continue reading
My Cousin Vinny (1992)
Ben
What most people remember about this film is that it won Marisa Tomei a friggin Oscar! I have no clue what her competition was like that year, but she would have to go down as one of the most unlikely Oscar winning performances of all time. Continue reading
The Mummy Returns (2001)
Ben
I think the most significant thing about The Mummy Returns is it was The Rock’s feature film debut. I say feature film, because he had been wrestling for some time before that, and anyone who has seen the WWE can probably attest to the fact that there is certainly some acting involved. Continue reading
Mulan (1998)
Ben
I had never seen this film before watching it for the blog. Mulan was one of Sally’s DVDs she added to the collection. Continue reading
Mr. 3000 (2004)

Sports movies are generally hit or miss, although I do have a bit of a soft spot for them, especially ones about my favourite sport, baseball. Continue reading
Mr & Mrs Smith (2005)
Ben
This film made more press because it apparently ended the marriage of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt. It is a shame it received so much unwanted attention, as it deflected from the fact that this is a smart action film led by two leads that nobody can deny have smoking chemistry onscreen together. Continue reading
Moulin Rouge! (2001)
Ben
I feel like I have made my feelings know about Baz Luhrman and his ice queen muse Nicole Kidman known in the review for Australia. The pair of them are perhaps the most overrated members of the entertainment industry, particularly here is Australia where they are fawned over by our media simply due to the fact they have had a modicum of success outside of this country. Continue reading
