We own a lot of DVDs. Over 1000 to be sort-of-but-not-really specific. It’s both a blessing and a curse. Sure, we always have something to watch, but we often can’t agree on what we want to watch. It can also become quickly overwhelming to pick just one movie when faced with so much choice.

So we decided to eliminate the choice. We’ve thrown around the idea of watching each movie in our collection in (sort of) alphabetical order before, but laughed it off and watched Star Wars/Indiana Jones/The Avengers for the millionth time instead. But this time we’re really doing it, with the added element of writing our review of each film as we go.

Some movies we’ve seen too many times to count; some not at all. Some are beloved by one of us, but detested by the other. Ben will be happy that Sally is finally forced watch all of Jim Carrey’s oeuvre, while Sally will quietly be stacking the shelves with musicals and Disney.

So grab some popcorn– it’s going to be a long journey.
